Staying in Community
Community activities are at the heart of Othona, although there are gaps even in the busiest day for walks on the beach.
Meals are taken together, breakfast 8.30am, lunch 1.00pm and supper at 7.00pm (all of these of course run to 'Othona time'). We gather in the morning and again in the evening, for informal services in the nearby 7th Century chapel of St Peters' which are guided by volunteers.

Everyone staying in Othona helps with a daily chore, such as washing up or cleaning. In the morning, there are often additional projects for willing hands.
Afternoons are often free, and scheduled talks for summer weeks usually run from 5pm to 7pm, depending on the tide.
In the evening, people make their own entertainment. This can include all-comers concerts and quizzes, and epic pool tournaments! And, of course, what people at Othona do best - talking, making new friends, and simply relaxing.
