The Othona Community

Our Programme

Summer activity weeks are popular and out-of-season times are quieter, with obvious exceptions such as fireworks and New Year.

It's best if you can come for the whole of a programmed session, but we appreciate that sometimes you may need to arrive later or leave earlier than the advertised days.

community study

Weekend events generally begin with supper on Friday and finish after lunch on Sunday. Week-long sessions usually run from supper on Saturday to after breakfast on the following Saturday.

We provide blankets and pillows, but please bring two pillowcases and a sleeping bag or sheets, and a towel (a laundry charge of £6 will be made should you need to hire these). Bring your swimming costume in summer; warm clothes, waterproofs and wellies in the winter; a hot water-bottle if you really feel the cold; an instrument if you play one; any favourite readings, songs or poems for services; ear-plugs for light sleepers; and a torch.

We regret that we can't take pets, however well behaved!
