An Othona project for Christmas and New Year!
The Othona Community is in the midst of a process of discernment about its life and purpose which goes under the title Othona 2010 and beyond: taking stock and moving forward. This process will culminate in a weekend meeting of 25 of us - core staff, committee members and trustees - at the end of January. We are being guided throughout by Sharon Usher, a professional and experienced facilitator.
In order to help as many members and friends of Othona as possible to participate in this process and thus support the group meeting at the end of January, Sharon has suggested three ‘questions for contemplation’ over Christmas and New Year. These questions do not look for ‘answers’ at this stage: rather, by all of us taking them into our hearts and minds over a period of time, we hope a deeply reflective and receptive space will be opened up within Othona. What arises out of that is not in our hands, but God’s.
Questions for contemplation
- What is the unique purpose of Othona now, in the 21 st century?
- Who does Othona serve?
- How would things be if all was well with Othona?
We are looking to recruit two core members, read more HERE
